Airlink Spares ("we", "us", "our") supplies aviation spare parts to airlines, MROs,
defence operators and commercial aircraft operators worldwide. This policy explains what
personal data we collect through www.airlinkspares.com, why we collect it,
who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
We are the data controller for the information described below. Our registered office is
Al Rumaithi Building, Office No 401, Al Zahiyah Area, Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
Our website has two forms. We collect only the fields shown on them.
-
Contact form — your full name, email address, telephone number and
the message you write.
-
Request a Quote form — your full name, email address, telephone
number, part number, part description, quantity, aircraft type and urgency level.
You may also contact us directly by email at Sales@AirlinkSpares.com,
AOG@AirlinkSpares.com or Contact@AirlinkSpares.com. Anything you include in that
correspondence is processed on the same basis as a form submission.
Because we serve businesses, the information we receive is usually professional contact
data rather than private personal information. We ask that you do not send us sensitive
personal data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Information collected automatically
-
Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type,
pages requested and timestamps for every visit. These logs are used for security and
troubleshooting.
-
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are
viewed and how visitors reach the site. This uses cookies and collects a truncated IP
address, approximate location, device and browser details.
-
Spam protection. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which
collects hardware and software information and behavioural signals to distinguish humans
from automated systems. Its use is subject to the
Google Privacy Policy
and
Terms of Service.
2. Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To source, price and supply the parts you request.
- To maintain records of quotations, orders and correspondence.
- To provide AOG support and after-sales service.
- To protect our website against spam, abuse and unauthorised access.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To meet legal, accounting, export-control and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your enquiry details for unrelated
marketing, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
3. Legal basis for processing
Where the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, the UK
GDPR or the EU GDPR applies to your data, we rely on the following grounds:
- Performance of a contract — or steps taken at your request before entering one, such as preparing a quotation.
- Legitimate interests — running and securing our website, and communicating with business customers about their enquiries.
- Legal obligation — retaining transaction records and complying with trade and export requirements.
- Consent — where you have specifically opted in, for example to analytics cookies where consent is required.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate the business, and
only to the extent they need it. We do not sell or rent it to anyone.
- Website hosting. Our hosting provider stores the website and its server logs.
- Email delivery. Brevo processes form submissions in order to deliver them to our inbox.
- Email hosting. Google Workspace hosts our company mailboxes, so correspondence is stored there.
- Website maintenance. Our appointed web development agency receives a copy of website enquiries so it can monitor that the forms are working correctly.
- Analytics and security. Google, in connection with Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA.
- Suppliers and logistics partners. Where fulfilling your request requires it, we pass the relevant order and delivery details to the parts supplier, freight forwarder or courier.
- Professional advisers and authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose information, or need to establish or defend legal claims.
5. International transfers
We operate from the United Arab Emirates and work with customers and suppliers worldwide.
The providers listed above may process data on servers outside your country, including in
the European Union and the United States. Where such transfers are subject to data
protection law, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard
contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order — retained for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Quotation, order and transaction records — retained for the period required by applicable commercial, tax and export-control law.
- Server logs — retained for a short period for security purposes.
- Analytics data — retained according to the settings in our Google Analytics account.
7. How we protect it
The website is served over HTTPS, form submissions are transmitted over encrypted
connections, and access to our systems is restricted to authorised personnel using
multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure,
but we take these measures seriously and review them regularly.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device. The cookies used on this site come from
Google Analytics, which helps us measure how the site is used, and Google reCAPTCHA, which
protects our forms from automated abuse. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking
cookies.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking analytics
cookies will not affect your ability to browse the site or submit an enquiry.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need;
- object to or ask us to restrict certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent;
- complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email
Contact@AirlinkSpares.com. We will respond
within the timeframe required by applicable law, and may need to verify your identity first.
10. Third-party links
Our site links to external websites, including our LinkedIn page and an embedded Google
Map on the contact page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites,
and we encourage you to read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on
this page, with the date it last changed shown at the top.
